The Maryland men's tennis team fell to the top seeded Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 4-0 in the first round of the ACC tournament on Thursday afternoon, in Cary, N.C. The Terps finished the season with an 8-12 overall record.
The Terps lost the doubles point to Georgia Tech by falling in the no. 1 and no. 3 doubles matches. David North and Marko Rajevac topped the senior tandem Troy Demers and Ian Bliss, 8-6. Scott Fink and David Reichsfeld were downed by Scott Blackmon and Zachary Rath, 8-1
In singles play, the Yellow Jackets won three matches to clinch the victory. Scott Fink fell to Marko Bajevac, 6-2, 6-3. Jordan Delass defeated Michael Coleman, 6-2, 6-0. Sukhwa Young topped David Reichsfeld, 6-2, 6-3 to clinch the match.
The Yellow Jackets will move on to face the Florida State Seminoles, on Friday afternoon in quarterfinal action.
