As a sophomore (2019): Saw action in six games… part of team that won Big Ten regular season title…earned All-Big Ten Academic honors.

As a freshman (2018): Saw action in four games… part of team that won Big Ten regular season and tournament titles and advanced to NCAA Championship game.

Before Maryland: Four-year varsity starter… team won Baltimore County championship in 2017 and three straight regional titles in 2015, 2016, 2017…team was a state finalist in 2017…earned First Team All-Baltimore County honors in 2017…named a Baltimore County Senior All-Star, Maryland Senior All-Star and Second Team All-State as a senior in 2017..ran indoor and outdoor track…played for Freedom Hockey Club…finished first in 2017 U19 National Indoor Tournament Pool…finished in second place at 2017 U19 Junior Premier Indoor League and U19 Regional Club Championships Region 7 finished top 10 at 2017 U19 National Club Championship and first at 2018 U19 National Indoor Tournament Pool…selected for the national futures championship in 2014-2017 and was been selected to play in the AAU junior olympic games in 2014 and 2016…ran indoor and outdoor track…finished fourth in the 4x400m at Regional Championships in 2018
 
Personal: Reece Carter Spann…parents are Christopher Spann and Shannon Wood…has two sisters – Sydney and Aiden and two brothers – Jackson and Grier…mom played one year of tennis at Furman…once scored game-tying goal off a stroke with 30 seconds left…pretended to be former Terrapin Katie Bam as a kid…came to Maryland because it was the perfect combination of academics and an amazing field hockey program…wants to do something in politics one day...Majoring in Letters & Sciences.
