Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2022-23): 

  • Saw action in seven games on the year averaging 2.1 minutes per contest.
  • Played four minutes in wins over Saint Peter’s (12/22) and Minnesota (2/4).
  • Made his season debut against Binghamton (11/15) where he snagged a pair of rebounds.


AS A SOPHOMORE (2021-22): 

  • Saw action in two games
  • Made season debut vs. Lehigh (12/28)
  • Played two minutes against Iowa (2/10)


AS A FRESHMAN (2020-21):

  • Appeared in five games, totaling three points and six rebounds 
  • Made first career field goal at #7 Michigan (1/19) 
  • Scored first collegiate point on a free throw vs. Wingate (1/15), and hauled in three rebounds 
  • Made collegiate debut against Old Dominion (11/25)


BEFORE MARYLAND:

  • Native of Sion, Switzerland
  • Attended Lycée Saint-Pierre in Bourg-en-Bresse, France 
  • Played club basketball for Bourg-en-Bresse in the top tier French basketball league 
  • Helped JL Bourg to second place overall finish in French Pro A (U21) with a 20-6 overall record in 2019-20 
  • Spent a week with the Swiss U-23 team in the summer of 2020 
  • Averaged 6.7 points and 3.5 rebounds in 19.9 minutes of action 
  • Helped JL Bourg to runner-up finish with a 30-4 record in 2018-19 
  • Played for the Swiss National Team at the U-18 European Championships in Skopje, Macedonia, where he averaged 9.6 points and 5.5 rebounds 
  • Competed in the heptathlon as a track & field athlete (specializing in high jump) for eight years before being discovered in 2015 by a retired Swiss professional basketball player at the age of 15 when he stood 6-7
