Hart joined the Terrapins as a walk-on from among over 100 candidates who participated in tryouts, and played in all 11 games. He attempted only two shots during the season and made both. He played in both games in the ACC Tournament and the last regular season game against Virginia.
He came to Maryland from Laurel High where he was a guard forward playing for Taft Hickman. He also played soccer and was the number one singles player on the Tennis team. He also served as Captain of the Laurel team.
