AS A SENIOR (2016-17): Appeared in all 33 games, earning starts in two contests...Averaged 3.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game...Scored 10 points at Rutgers (2/28)...Posted six points and six rebounds vs. Minnesota (2/22)...Notched seven points against Rutgers (1/24)...Recorded seven points vs. Indiana (1/10)...Scored six points and added a team-high seven rebounds vs. Illinois (12/7)...Posted a team-high seven rebounds vs. Howard (12/7)...Recorded seven points vs. Oklahoma State (12/3)...Led the Terps with 15 points against St. Mary's (MD) (11/7)...Scored 11 points and added six rebounds in his Maryland debut against American (11/11).

BEFORE MARYLAND: Attended Benedictine College in Richmond, Va. with Robert Johnson from Indiana...Captured a state championship (Virginia) over Bishop O'Connell and Melo Trimble in 2013...As an undergraduate at Duquesne, volunteered at the Sojourner House in Pittsburgh - a rehabilitation facility for women addicted to chemical abuse...One of the primary reasons he transferred to Maryland was because he enjoyed meeting and visiting with Mark Turgeon during his recruiting visit
PERSONAL: Son of Charles Sr. (who goes by the moniker B.G. (Big Gill)) and Wanda Gill...Mother, Wanda, played basketball at Virginia Union...Was given the nickname “L.G.,” short for “Little Gill,” by his aunt, Edna Hobbs, shortly after he was born...His older sister, Tionna, is a VCU grad ... criminal justice major with a minor in communication studies...Is an avid reader and enjoys sports autobiographies...Enjoys fishing with his dad...Favorite basketball players include Dwyane Wade, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard...Was a member of the Duquesne men's basketball team that was stuck for 30 hours on the road last year during the blizzard effecting the East Coast of the United States after they defeated George Mason...While stuck on the bus because of the inclement weather, Gill and his former teammates were next to a bus with third grade children and were approached by the kids' youth coach to see if they would join them to talk about their journey in becoming college athletes
