MAJOR: Economics
As a senior (2021): Played in four games…made season debut vs. Penn State (4/3)…saw action in NCAA Tournament vs. Vermont (5/16) and Duke (5/29).
As a junior (2020): Made appearance in season opener vs. High Point (2/1)…Academic All-Big Ten.
As a sophomore (2019): Academic All-Big Ten...Saw action against Villanova (3/16).
As a freshman (2018): Did not see game action.
Before Maryland: A 2x All-Main Line and All-Delco selection and a 4x All-Inter-AC selection in high school … totaled 58 points as a senior, totaling 36 goals and 22 assists … played club lacrosse for Big 4 Lacrosse … also an all-conference selection in football.
Personal: Son of Tom and Karen Martellucci … mother, formerly Karen Trudel, was a three-time All-American on the Maryland women’s lacrosse team from 1983-85 and a member of the ACC's 50 Anniversary women's lacrosse team … has two older siblings, Matt and Kelly … pretended to be Brian Dawkins as a kid … enjoys fishing and golfing … lists non-sports hero as his grandfather … carried a 3.5 GPA in high school … also recruited by Penn State, Notre Dame, Harvard and Princeton.
Why Maryland: “I loved the campus and the academics Maryland provided, in addition to the unique tradition of Maryland lacrosse. My Mom also went to school here and she loved it.”
