2019 Outdoor: Opened the outdoor season with an second-place finishes in the 100m (11.16) and the 200m (22.54) at the Maryland Invitational (3/16/19)... took 28th in the 100m (11.21) and fifth in the long jump (6.96m) at the UNF Spring Break Invite (3/21/19)... finished eighth in the 100m (11.10) and 12th in the 200m (22.51) at the 2019 Navy Spring Meet (3/30/19)... placed second in the 100m (11.16) at the UVA Quad Meet (4/6/19)... finished 19th in the long jump (6.88m) at the Virginia Challenge (4/19/19)... finished third as a member of the 4x400m relay team (3:18.67) and won first in the long jump (6.97m) at the Kehoe Twilight Meet (5/3/19)... placed 12th in the long jump (6.92m) at the Big Ten Championships (5/10/19)

2019 Indoor: Took fourth in the long jump at the Nittany Lion Challenge (6.78m)... Finished ninth in the 60m at the 2019 Navy Select (7.18)... Finished 11th in the 60m at the 2019 Liberty Flames Invite (7.25)... Took 13th in the 60m prelims at the 2019 Navy Invitational II (7.28)... Finished eighth in the 200m at the 2019 Navy Select (22.80)... Finished 22nd in the 200m at the 2019 Liberty Flames Invite (23.20)

2018 Outdoor: Competed in three events with four top-3 finishes...finished 2nd in the long jump by clearing 23’0.75” at UVA Quad Meet (4/6)...placed 1st in the 4x100m team relay (42.67) and placed 3rd in the long jump by clearing 22’7” at the Kehoe Twilight Meet 2018 (5/4).

2018 Indoor: Competed in one events...placed 2nd in long jump by clearing 21.7.5” at the Spire NCAA D-1 Indoor Track & Field Classic (2/9-10).

2017 Outdoor: Competed at three events with four top-3 finishes...finished 3^rd in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:26.33 at the Maryland Invitational (3/18)... placed 2^nd at the Maryland Invitational (3/18) in the long jump clearing 20'10.5”...placed 3^rd in the long jump with a jump of 22'5.75” at the UNF Spring Break Invitational (3/24)...placed 1^st in the long jump by clearing 23'6.25” at the Virginia Quad (4/8).

2017 Indoor: Competed in three events...placed 1^st in the long jump by clearing 22'6.5” at the 2017 Wesley A. Brown Men's Invitational (1/28)

2016 Outdoor: Did not compete

2016 Indoor: Competed at one event…cleared 20'3.5” in the long jump at the Penn State Relays to finish 15^th (1/9). 

Before Maryland: Competed for Sachem East High School…captained the squad for consecutive seasons…notched the second-best Pentathlon score in the country his senior season and captured a New York state championship…won the Suffolk County Outstanding Athlete Award…holds nine school records at Sachem East; indoor and outdoor long jump, indoor and outdoor triple jump, 110m hurdles, 55m hurdles, Pentathlon, 4x100m relay and 4x200m relay…also played football.

Personal: Son of Andrew and Sandy Alfano…has two sisters, Amanda and Christina…also recruited by Rutgers, UConn and Florida…pretended to be LeBron James playing sports as a kid
