BEFORE MARYLAND - Broke 13 school records in indoor and outdoor track at Magruder High School, including 100 (12.7) and 200 (25.55)... was Montgomery County regional champion her senior year... also named All-Gazette and MVP... was also captain of her team.

PERSONAL - Born in Dallas, Texas... daughter of Enoh and Edem Akpandak... has one sister, Idara, and one brother, Ifiok... Hopes to pursue a career as a doctor after majoring in biology.
