As a Junior (2018-19): Competed in nine singles matches including four in Big Ten action...won a trio of doubles matches with partner Saya Usui while playing at the third doubles position...all three wins came against Big Ten competition.
As a Freshman (2016-17): Earned five doubles victories in the spring...picked up one B1G win in doubles...Played in three spots in the Terps' singles lineup...fourth-most sinlges victories on the team (7)...picked up three B1G singles wins...won the doubles bracket of the Tribe Invitational in the fall...was a runner-up in the singles bracket at the Cissie Leary Invitational.
Before Maryland: Was a member of the Belarus national team when she was 14 and 16 years old…ITF runner-up in two singles tournaments…winner of four ITF doubles tournaments…was ranked 21st in the Europe women's tennis 14-under division.
Personal: Daughter of Siarhei Yemelyanenka and Iryna Yemelyanenka…nickname is Kate…is right-handed…sports heroes are Roger Federer and Victoria Azarenka.
