Biography

As a Redshirt Senior (2018-19): Won seven matches while wrestling for Maryland at 157 pounds...won second-most matches by fall on roster...started seven dual matches at 157 pounds...won by fall in less than a minute to begin season at Princeton Open (11/4)...won a trio of matches at Wolfpack Open (11/18)...pinneed Appalachian State's Chrstian Beach in just 16 seconds at Wolfpack Open (11/18)...stuck Queens College's Chris Cohens in 58 seconds at Wolfpack Open (11/18)...earned win in first dual match of season by decision over Penn's Joe Oliva (12/2)...won two matches at Midlands Championships, including a fall during the first period of opening round bout (12/29)...secured two first-period takedowns in match against No. 2 Tyler Berger of Nebraska (1/18)...wrestled for Maryland at Big Ten Championships. 

As a Redshirt Junior (2017-18): Defeated George Mason's Matthew Raines with a 5-3 decision (11/12). Missed remainder of season due to injury. 

As a Redshirt Sophomore (2016-2017): Won 23 matches at 149 pounds…23 wins on the season tied for third most on the team…led the team in pins with 11…got seven dual meet starts at 149 pounds...won Shorty Hitchcock Open Title (1/14)…started year with three wins all by bonus points at the Southeast Open (11/6)…picked up two wins at Bearcat Open (11/13)…picked up five wins at the Wilkes Open (12/22)…won four matches at the F&M Open, beating Virginia Tech’s Matthoes Lozier twice and Millersville’s David Charles (1/7)…picked up three pins and a major decision en route to Shorty Hitchcock Open crown (1/14)…defeated Lehigh’s David Pipa by decision in Shorty Hitchcock final…won first career dual in front of alma mater at Good Counsel High School, pinning Ohio State’s Blake Riley-Hawkins (1/22)…earned fall over Rider’s Gino Fluri (2/18)…won lone match at the National Collegiate Open, pinning Clarion’s Taylor Ortiz (2/26).

As a Redshirt Freshman (2015-16): Compiled solid second-year campaign at 141 pounds in open tournament action…finished 14-9 overall with a team-best nine pins…won eight of his final 11 matches, with seven victories coming by pin…defeated Zak Evans (Sacred Heart) in first match of the year at Bearcat Open (11/8)…went 3-2 at the Wolfpack Open with two bonus point wins (11/22)…finished 2-2 at Nittany Lion Open (12/6)…took third place at the Franklin & Marshall Open, posting three pins including a fall over Patrick Quinian (Franklin & Marshall) in the third place match (12/30)…notched four pins at the Messiah Open, securing a fifth place finish (2/6).   

As a Freshman (2014-15): Served a redshirt season and won seven matches at 133 and 141 pounds…won a pair of matches at the Mat Town Open (11/30)…recorded two victories by fall at the Nittany Lion Open (12/7)…pinned JP Ascolese of Columbia at the Wilkes Open (12/28)…won once at the F&M Open (1/3) and the Shorty Hitchcock Open (1/18).

Before Maryland: A two-time Fargo All-American…a two-time National Prep All-American…a Beast of the East place winner…a Powerade Tournament place winner…a four-time state placer who recorded 100-plus pins in high school.

Personal: Majoring in operations management and supply chain.
