Biography

As a Redshirt Freshman (2018-19): Won a trio of matches while wrestling in open competition...two wins came by way of fall...won by fall over Mount St. Vincent's Brendon Hall at the Mat Town Open (11/25)...pinned Stony Brook's Jay Best in the first period at the Messiah Open. 

As a Freshman (2017-18): Served a redshirt year...won his first collegiate match with a 39-second pin over Adrian Nelson of Sacred Heart at the Princeton Open (11/4)...beat Trey Cornish of Lehigh, 4-3, at the ESU Open (11/12)...topped Chase Payne of St. Andrews with a 5-0 win at the Wolfpack Open (11/19)...pinned Eli Smith of Franklin and Marshall during the Shorty Hitchcock Open (1/13)...shut out Sean Angello of Pitt-Johnstown, 12-0, at the Messiah Open...beat Giancarlo Crivelli of TCNJ, 4-3, at the Messiah Open (2/3)...topped Columbia's Dylan Geick by a score of 7-6 at the Messiah Open (2/3). 

Before Maryland: Four-year letter-winner at Oakdale High School…two-time state placer (2nd & 5th)…went 39-4 as a senior, finishing as a county, regional and state finalist…went 43-4 as a junior, winning the county and regional title…finished high school career with 141-31 record…took third in counties and regionals as a sophomore…won regional title and took third in counties as a freshman…four-time All-Frederick County selection, including First Team honors as a junior and senior…three-time First Team All-Central Maryland Conference…2017 Oakdale HS Male Scholar Athlete Scholarship Award, FCCA Male Scholar Athlete of the Year, Frederick County Birds of Prey (Baltimore Ravens) Scholar Athlete, First Team MSWA All-Academic and Maryland State Finalist for Wendy's High School Heisman Scholarship…team captain of wrestling, football and track teams as a senior…played running back and defense at Oakdale, scoring 10 touchdowns with 378 rushing yards and 174 receiving as a senior…sprinter for the track team, winning county, regional and state championship in the 4x800 relay.

Personal: Son of Gregory and Susan De Maille…has a younger brother Bryce…UMD College Park Scholar…lists most interesting accomplishment as spending a semester of high school abroad in Spain…wants to pursue a career in teaching or working with healthcare...hero is his father...chose Maryland for the academics and athletics…majoring in biology/pre-med.
