Biography

As a Redshirt Freshman (2016-17): Won five matches at 157 while missing a majority of the season due to injury…won twice at the Southeast Open, beating App. State’s Angel Najar and American’s Cole Moseley (11/6)…won three matches at Bearcat Open, beating Brown’s Matthews Lattanze and Cullen Cummings of Ohio (11/13). 

As a Freshman (2015-16): Went 4-4 in first collegiate season while serving a redshirt year…finished with two wins at Wolfpack Open (11/22)…beat Melik Jimenez (Campbell) by tech fall (11/22)…beat Cole Mangum (Appalachian State) by major decision (11/22)…went 2-2 at National Collegiate Open (3/5)…took down Alex Klucker (Lock Haven) 5-1…earned major decision over Ben Heyob (Kent State) 15-7 (3/5). 

Before Maryland:  captured a state championship in 2015 after a runner-up finish the previous year… won the 2015 Eastern States Championship… finished fifth in the 2015 Junior Freestyle Nationals…finished fourth in the 2014 FILA Cadet Freestyle Nationals after finishing eighth in 2013…finished 4th at the 2015 FloNationals… was a time-time NHSCA High School National All-American placing seventh in 2012 and sixth in 2013…holds a career high school record of 171-11.

Personal: Majoring in letters and sciences.
