NORFOLK, VA - The Old Dominion University women's lacrosse team dropped a tough 16-9 decision to four-time defending National Champion Maryland Saturday afternoon at Foreman Field. With the loss, the Lady Monarchs fall to 3-3 (1-1 CAA) on the season. The Terps are a perfect 8-0 (3-0 ACC). Senior Kailynne Ross (Saratoga Springs, NY) led the way for Old Dominion with five goals. Five different Lady Monarchs broke into the scoring column. Senior Pam Seebald (Brightwaters, NY) added three assists to the cause. The Terps were led by a four-goal performance from junior Kristin Sommar (North Wales, Pa.)and a three-goal, one-assist effort from Christie Jenkins (Media, Pa.). Old Dominion hosts American Sunday at 1 pm in a CAA contest.
