- Maryland posted its 76th consecutive non-conference home victory and moved to 9-3 on the season with its 105-53 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore. The win extended the longest active non-conference home winning streak in the nation. The Terps last non-conference loss at Cole Field House was to Coppin State on December 12, 1989.

- With 105 points, the Terps have now gone over the century mark in three-straight games for just the second time in school history.

- The Terrapins now lead the all-time series with the Hawks, 14-0, and push their record against in-state competition to 62-1 since 1970. Overall, Maryland is now 120-40 against other state schools and has not been beaten since 1989 (Coppin State, 12-12-89).

- Today's win raises Maryland's record at Cole Field House to 45-4 over the last four seasons. Its current home court win streak stands at 12.

- Maryland is now in the midst of an eight-game winning streak, its longest since opening the 1998-99 campaign with 10-straight victories.

- The Terps' have put things out of reach in the first half of their last two games, outscoring their opponents by a 122-48 margin (62-23 vs. Chicago State, 60-25 vs. UMES).

- In their nine wins this season, the Terps are outscoring their opponents by an average margin of 33.3 points. At Cole, the Terrapins have been even better as they have averaged 109 points and an average margin of victory of 46.4.

- With seven steals in today's game, junior Juan Dixon tied the fourth-best single game mark in Maryland history matching a total last achieved by Laron Profit on Jan. 15, 1997 vs. Clemson (it happened on four other occasions as well). As a team, the Terps had 19 steals, the second-highest total this season and a mark that ties for the seventh-highest ever.

- Dixon scored 19 points against the Hawks marking his sixth-straight game with at least that many points. In the past six, Dixon has averaged 22.3 points per contest.

- Junior Byron Mouton led the Terps in scoring with a season-high 28 points (his previous best as a Terrapin was 20 at Penn on Dec. 9). Mouton notched his season high with a near perfect shooting performance as he was 9-of-11 from the field and a perfect 8-of-8 from the line. The 28 is Mouton's best at Maryland and just three shy of his career high set at Tulane (vs. So. Miss., 2-5-98).

- Sophomore Steve Blake had a game-high eight assists and moved into 12th on the UM career assist chart as he now has 310 in his young career.
