Maryland Postgame Notes

- Maryland moved to 11-3 overall and 2-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference with its 93-80 win over Georgia Tech today at Cole Field House. With the win, the Terrapins extended their season win streak to 10, the team's best since the beginning of the 1998-99 campaign when it opened 10-0.

- The Terrapins continue to close the gap in the all-time series with the Yellow Jackets as they have won nine of the last 11 games in the series. Georgia Tech still holds the historical edge, however, 29-25.

- With 93 points, the Terps just missed going over the century mark for the fifth-straight game. They also fell just six points shy of the highest five-game total in school history as they have totaled 542 during that stretch. The record of 547 was accomplished in the 1974-75 season.

- Today's win raises Maryland's record at Cole Field House to 46-4 over the last four seasons. Its current home court win streak stands at 13.

- In their six wins at home this year, the Terps are averaging 106.3 points per game and are outscoring their opponents by an impressive 41 points per contest.

- The Terrapins have scored 50 or more in the first half of eight straight games.

- Maryland got contributions from everyone as they staked a quick lead in the first half of today's win. By the 9:00 mark of the opening half, all nine Terrapin players who had entered the game (Mouton, Dixon, Nicholas, Miller, Blake, Morris, Baxter, Mardesich and Wilcox) were in the scoring column.

- Junior Juan Dixon had an outstanding game, pumping home a season-high 28 points. In his last eight games, Dixon has been on fire, averaging 23 points per contest.

- Dixon has reserved his best for the Yellow Jackets in his career as his all-time high of 33 came against Tech last year (2-16-00) and he has scored 31, 33 and now 28 in his last three outings against them.

- With eight steals today, Dixon notched a career high total and also the second-most in a single game in Maryland history.

- Dixon went 11-11 from the free throw line today. The 11 free throws made are a career high for the junior and also gives him a run of making 35 of his last 36 attempts on the season and 15 in-a-row.

- Junior Lonny Baxter reached a career milestone in today's game as his seven points pushed him over the 1,000-point plateau for his career. Baxter now has 1,004 and joins Terence Morris and Juan Dixon to become only the third Terrapin trio of teammates to score 1,000 while playing on the same team.

- Senior Terence Morris had another solid outing today, scoring 19 points and pulling down 13 boards (six offensive). It was his first double-double of the year and marked the 20th of his career.

- With a season-high 13 rebounds today, Morris moved into the Maryland career top 10 for rebounds. The Frederick native now has 734 for his career and pushes Tony Massenburg (1986, `88-90) and his 722 career rebounds out of the Top 10.
