Jordan Williams had a double-double with 24 points and a dozen rebounds, while James Padgett added 17 points and nine boards to lead the Black team to a 90-84 victory over the Red team at an intrasquad men's basketball scrimmage Saturday at Comcast Center.
Dino Gregory (16 points, 14 boards) and Sean Mosley (25 points, 10 assists, 7 rebounds) also had strong games for the Red team, as both squads had balanced scoring.
Adrian Bowie finished with 24 points and six assists for the Red team.
Freshman Haukur Palsson hit four 3-pointers on his way to 18 points for the Black squad, while Cliff Tucker added 16 points.
The two teams were tied, 44-44, at halftime in the scrimmage, which was played under normal college timing rules.
Maryland plays host to Florida Southern on Monday night in an exhibition game at 8 p.m. The Terrapins open their 2010-11 season on Monday, Nov. 8 against Seattle University in a regional round of the 2K Sports Classic Benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer.
