The University of Maryland will face Pittsburgh on Thursday, Nov. 18, in the first round of a championship semifinal doubleheader in the 2K Sports Classic Benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer.
The game will be played at 7 p.m. in New York's Madison Square Garden. Illinois will play Texas in the second game.
The consolation game will be at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19, with the championship game to follow.
All the championship-round games in the event will be broadcast on ESPN2.
In the regional rounds of the tournament, Maryland will play host to Seattle on Monday, Nov. 8 and Charleston on Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. on ESPNU. All four regional-round hosts will advance to the championship rounds.
The Terrapins lead the all-time series with Pittsburgh, 5-1, with the most recent meeting being an 87-52 Terp win on Nov. 28, 1998 in the Puerto Rico Shootout.
Maryland owns a 4-2 edge in the series with Illinois, with the most recent meeting resulting in a 69-61 Terrapin win on Nov. 28, 2007 in Comcast Center.
Maryland won its only previous meeting with Texas in an 82-68 victory in the NCAA Tournament in Salt Lake City on March 18, 1995.
