COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Postgame notes following Maryland's 65-61 win over FIU Wednesday night at Comcast Center.
Tipping Off: Maryland improved to 6-3 on the year while FIU dropped to 3-7 ... the Terps have won both of the meetings in the series (also a 117-70 win on 11/25/97) ... the Terps overcame an 11-point first-half deficit to win, their second best comeback this season (12 vs. Colorado) ... Maryland is 21-2 in its last 23 non-conference home games.
Stoglin's Streak of 20-point games: Terrell Stoglin tallied 20 points, marking the fifth consecutive game he's reached the 20-point plateau. That puts him in some good company - since Walt Williams had a streak of 19 straight 20-point games in 1991-92, a Maryland player has put together five straight games with 20-plus points on just five occasions.

Pankey's Strong Second Half: Ashton Pankey scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half. The redshirt freshman connected on 4 of 7 field goals and three of four free throws while grabbing four rebounds, recording two blocks and two steals. Pankey played 19 minutes in the second half after only playing four in the first half when he had to go to the locker room to get stitches.
Mosley: Sean Mosley reached double figures in scoring for the fourth time this year (12 points) and with five field goals he surpassed 300 career field goals made. Mosley also chipped in four rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal.
Strong Effort on the Glass: Maryland, which entered the game averaging 12.4 offensive rebounds per game (fourth in the ACC), had nine at halftime, led by James Padgett's three. The Terps finished the game with 17, matching a season high (also vs. Notre Dame). Padgett led the way with five, while Pankey had four and Weijs had three. Padgett leads the conference with 4.1 per game.
First-Half Notes: Maryland committed nine turnovers in the first half, helping FIU outscore the Terps 11-3 in points off TOs ... the Terps outrebounded FIU 20-11 and held a 9-1 edge in second-chance points in the first half ... Maryland also held a 14-8 edge in points in the paint ... FIU connected on 5 of 10 3-pointers, including 4 of 5 by Jeremy Allen.
Second-Half Notes: Maryland reversed its first-half turnover fortunes, committing just three while forcing six and leading 9-2 in points off them ... points in the paint were nearly even, with Maryland holding a 16-14 edge ... the Terps shot 48 percent while holding FIU to 35.5 percent.
Tidbits: Maryland used a starting lineup of Nick Faust, Terrell Stoglin, Sean Mosley, Ashton Pankey and James Padgett. It's the second time that lineup has been used this year (also Alabama) ...
