COLUMBUS, Ohio - Senior Tom Harris tied for first in the Robert Kepler Invitational this weekend at Ohio State's Scarlet Course.
Harris shot a 72 in Sunday's second and final round, which was one-over par. He earned a combined score of 144 (72-72), which was two-over total and put him in a three-way tie for first with UNLV's Shintaro Ban and Michigan State's Josh Heinze.
Harris helped lead the Terrapins to a fifth-place finish out of 16 teams, topping No. 29 Penn State, No. 46 Kent State, Northwestern and Michigan along the way. They earned a combined team score of 597 (300-297).
Sophomore David Kocher went +7 total to finish tied for 18th with a combined score of 149 (74-75). Freshman Timothy Colanta tied for 28th with his combined score of 150 (75-75), which as +8 overall.
Sophomore Joe Brooks earned a total score of 154 (79-75), which was +12, and freshman Reilly Erhardt shot a 163 (81-82), which was +21.
Next, the Terrapins will compete in the Big Ten Championships April 22-24 at Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Ind.
