
Terps Host Lynn for Tuesday Exhibition

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland will face Lynn in its lone preseason exhibition game Tuesday, October 30 at XFINITY Center.
STORYLINES
• Maryland basketball opens its 100th season as a program on Tuesday, November 6 when the Terps host Delaware at the XFINITY Center.
• Maryland is 3-1 all-time against the Blue Hens, with their lone loss coming during the first-ever season of Maryland basketball in 1910-11. Delaware won that game 23-14 on Feb. 4, 1911, while the Terps have won the last three meetings, including a 76-46 win in their most recent matchup on December 28, 2007.
• Maryland is 7-0 in their XFINITY Center opener under Mark Turgeon, and are 5-2 overall in season openers during Turgeon's tenure.
• Maryland is 38-4 in non-conference home games at the XFINITY Center in the past five seasons. The Terps were a perfect 9-0 in non-conference games at XFINITY in 2017-18. UMD went 15-3 overall in home games last season.
• The Terrapins return three starters from a season ago in junior Anthony Cowan Jr., sophomore Bruno Fernando and sophomore Darryl Morsell. Cowan was named a Third Team All-Big Ten selection while also being named to the All-B1G Defensive Team. Fernando garnered All-Freshmen Team honors, while Morsell averaged 8.7 points and 4.4 rebounds during his freshmen season.
• Maryland was on the cusp of a top-25 preseason ranking in the Associated Press Poll, finishing with 28 votes. Maryland also received 26 votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Four of Maryland's 2018-19 opponents (Virginia, Michigan State, Michigan and Purdue) were tabbed as preseason top-25 teams in the poll released on October 22.
• Maryland's Director of Operations Mark Bialkoski was a student manager for Lynn Head Coach Jeff Price during his tenure as head coach at Georgia Southern. The Eagles captured the 2006 Southern Conference Championship during Price and Bialkoski's run at Georgia Southern.
