
Usui, Yemelyanenka Victorious at Bedford Cup

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Juniors Saya Usui and Katsiaryna Yemelyanenka posted a 6-1 victory in Sunday's championship match to take home the doubles title at the Bedford Cup this weekend.
The two defeated a team from Georgetown to claim Maryland's first title in the 2018-19 season. Usui and Yemelyanenka excelled the entire weekend, going 4-0 on their way to the title.
Sophomore Zoe Kulkarni also played well for the Terrapins, picking up a pair of victories in the singles flight.
Maryland will be back on the court this weekend, with 22nd-ranked Eva Alexandrova and Millie Stretton making their season debut at the Rice Invitational.
