COLLEGE PARK, Md. -  The No. 24 Maryland men's basketball team is set to close the season with 3-of-4 games at home as it welcomes Ohio State to XFINITY Center Saturday, Feb. 23, for a 2:00 pm tip on ESPN. The Terrapins are 6-0 at home in conference play this season. Fans are encouraged to wear white for Maryland's annual "White Out" game.

STORYLINES

•  Maryland has won five of its last six games against the Buckeyes, and 5-of-7 since joining the Big Ten Conference. Additionally, the Terps are 4-0 against OSU in College Park in regular season action.

•  The Terrapins cruised to a 75-61 victory at Ohio State earlier this season, as Anthony Cowan Jr. scored 20 points and Bruno Fernando added 13 points and 15 rebounds. In total, five different players reached double-figures and the Terps shot 11-of-17 (64.7) from 3-point range.

•  Speaking of 3-pointers, Maryland hit 12 from outside the arc to defeat No. 21 Iowa, 66-65, Tuesday night in Iowa City. It was the most in a conference game for the Terrapins since knocking down 12 against North Carolina in 2010. Anthony Cowan Jr. hit a career-high five shots from beyond the arc, while Aaron Wiggins hit three more to pull within 10 3's of Kevin Huerter's freshman record (65).

•  According to NCAA.com, Maryland has played the 17th toughest schedule in the country and is expected to play the 11th toughest by regular season's end. The Terrapins have already surpassed their win total from last season despite boasting the third youngest team in the country (351-of-353) according to KenPom.com.

• Sophomore Bruno Fernando has recorded a double-double in eight of his last nine games after posting 11 points and 11 rebounds at Iowa. Fernando's 17 double-doubles on the season are the sixth-most in program history and rank fifth nationally. An 18th double-double would tie Fernando with Joe Smith (1994-95).

• The Terrapins have held three of their last four opponents under 33-percent shooting: at Iowa (.328), Purdue (.282), at Nebraska (.211). Maryland now ranks 14th in the country in field goal percentage defense (.393) and 19th overall in adjusted defense according to KenPom.com.

•  The Terps remain one of the best rebounding teams in the nation, ranking third in the country and first in the Big Ten Conference in rebound margin (+9.3). Bruno Fernando ranks second in the conference in rebounds/g (10.6), while Fernando and Jalen Smith combine for nearly six offensive rebounds/g.

•  Bruno Fernando was named one of 10 players to the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award list (top center), becoming the first Terp to earn the honor in since its inception in 2015. Also on the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Midseason List, Fernando currently leads the Big Ten Conference (6th nationally) in field goal percentage (.655), ranks second in rebounds/g (10.6) and is third in blocks/g (1.9).

•  Terp Tendencies: Maryland has won all 20 games when leading with 5:00 to play; Maryland is 13-0 when holding opponents under 40-percent shooting; Maryland is 16-2 when Jalen Smith scores 10+ points.
