COLLEGE PARK, Md. -  The No. 24 Maryland men's basketball hits the road for its fifth game away from home in its last six outings as it faces Nebraska Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 7:00 pm ET in Lincoln.

STORYLINES

•  The Terrapins defeated then-No. 24 Nebraska earlier this season, 74-72, in College Park as freshman Jalen Smith hit a game-winning runner with three seconds remaining. Smith finished with 15 points, while Bruno Fernando had 18 points and 17 rebounds and Anthony Cowan Jr. added a team-high 15 points.

• The matchup marks just the second time in Maryland's five seasons it has played Nebraska twice in the regular season. The only other time was in the Terps' inaugural Big Ten season, when they swept the series in 2014-15. Maryland leads the all-time series, 5-2.

Bruno Fernando has been sensational in two career meetings against the Cornhuskers, averaging 19.5 points and 13 rebounds. He scored a then-career-high 21 points against Nebraska in last season's meeting, before pouring in 18 points and grabbing 17 rebounds earlier this year.

•  The Terps remain one of the best rebounding teams in the nation, ranking second in the country and first in the Big Ten Conference in rebound margin (+10.3). Maryland recently out-rebounded Wisconsin by 11, which propelled it past Michigan State for the conference lead in the category.

Bruno Fernando notched his 14th double-double of the season, and fifth consecutive, with 13 points and 10 rebounds at #24 Wisconsin last Friday. It is tied for the sixth-longest streak in program history. Fernando is one of eight players in program history to record at least 14 double-doubles in a season (Joe Smith and Tom McMillen did it multiple times).

• The Terps bounced back from a two-game slide with a commanding 70-52 victory in which it never trailed against Northwestern Jan. 29. Maryland's stifling defense held the Wildcats to just 31-percent shooting.

•  Bruno Fernando was named one of 15 players to the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Midseason List Jan. 22. The dominating big man currently ranks second in the Big Ten Conference (5th nationally) in double-doubles (14) and blocks/g (2.0), and third in rebounds/g (10.3). He also ranks seventh nationally (1st B1G) in FG pct. (.665).

•  Maryland has made it count at the free throw line this season, ranking second in the Big Ten in free throw percentage (.749), while ranking fourth in free throw attempts (446).

•  The Terrapins boast one of the youngest lineups in the country in terms of experience, ranking 349th out of 353 teams according to KenPom.com.
