
Maryland to Open Fall at VCU Invitational

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland men's golf team will open its fall slate at the VCU Invitational this week at the The Country Club of Virginia in Richmond.
The Terrapins and the 11 other teams competing will play the Tuckahoe Creek Course, which is a par 72. They will tee off with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start Monday with 36 holes, then the final 18 holes Tuesday. Live scoring will be available at GolfStat.com.
Christian Park, Peter Knade, Austin Barbin, Dhaivat Pandya and Will Celiberti will compete for Maryland this week, with Chris Lane competing as an individual. This will be the first collegiate event for Barbin and Celiberti, both freshmen, and first as a Terrapin for Pandya.
Maryland's first scheduled event the year, The Battle at Briar's Creek, was cancelled last week due to inclement weather.
Knade, Park and Barbin were all honored with Big Ten Preseason honors as players to watch this fall.
