RIO GRANDE, P.R. - Freshman Austin Barbin and senior Peter Knade finished one stroke over par overall and tied for 37th this past weekend at the Puerto Rico Classic.
The Terps rounded out the weekend with three eagles, the most from any team, which came from Will Celiberti, Chris Lane and Barbin. Maryland ended play with a score of 875 (289-292-294), which was 11-over-par. The first day was Maryland's strongest totaling 289, and the Terps finished 12th overall in the team standings after going six-over-par on the final day of play.
Four Terrapins notched top 50 finishes over the weekend. Barbin and Knade led with a score of +1 with a 217, 73-72-72 and 71-72-74 respectively. Senior Christian Park finished with a 219 (70-75-74), and Celiberti tallied a 222 finish (75-73-74).
Next up the Terps will travel to Chapel Hill, North Carolina for the Tar Heel Intercollegiate on March 21.
