STORYLINES BY THE NUMBERS

The Terps secured a one-goal victory at home over the Spiders, winning 10-9 for their second win of the season. Jared Bernhardt tied his career-high against Richmond with five goals – all coming in the first half.

3 – Three Terps (Daniel Maltz – A, Jack Brennan – M & John Geppert – D) made their first career starts in Maryland's season opener, including freshman Jack Brennan who was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week. Brennan scored two goals in the first five minutes of his college career to help UMD get off to a 3-0 start against High Point.

6 – Logan Wisnauskas became the first Terp to tally six or more goals in a single game since Connor Kelly netted six in a win over No. 18 Penn State on April 8, 2018. Wisnauskas was named to the USILA Team of the Week after tallying a game-high seven points against High Point.

10 – Jared Bernhardt now sits just two goals away from cracking the top-10 all-time goals list at Maryland, entering the weekend with 115 career goals for the Terrapins. Bernhardt would be just the fourth Terp since the turn of the century to reach the top-10 in all-time goals, joining Matt Rambo (155), Joe Walters (153) and Connor Kelly (128).

12 – In all, 12 different players found the back of the net for Maryland in the team's season-opener, including five multi-goal scorers. Four Terps (Jack Brennan, Chase Cope, Daniel Maltz & Nicholas DeMaio) all tallied their first collegiate goal in the victory.

70 – Maryland's 70 shots against High Point were the most-ever by a John Tillman team in a single game, and the most taken by a Terrapin squad since UMD had 74 shots in a win over Presbyterian on February 13, 2009.
