COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo -- Senior Erika Pritchard was one of 28-players in the country selected to the U.S. Collegiate National Team - Gold Roster, USA Volleyball announced on Wednesday.

Pritchard will train from July 5-12 in Anaheim, Calf. at the American Sports Centers where she will compete side-by-side with the U.S. Women's National Team as it makes final preparations for the Tokyo Olympic Games. 

The rising-senior is one of eight outside hitters to make the roster that is filled with the best collegiate volleyball players in the country. The athletes were selected through the U.S. Women's National Team Open Tryouts held Feb. 21-23 at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Pritchard continued to excel on the outside this past year, starting at outside hitter in all 32 matches, playing in all 127 sets. The Middletown, Md. native led the team with 417 kills (3.28/set), finished third on the team with 30 aces (0.24/set), and finished second on the team with 248 digs (1.95/set). Pritchard tallied double-digit kills in 27 matches, 20+ kills in three matches, and posted 10 double-doubles on the season. Pritchard is 345 kills away from being the all-time kill leader for the University of Maryland, while needing just 335.5 points to become the all-time scoring leader in program history.

Katie Myers, who will graduate from Maryland this spring, was also selected to the Collegiate National Team. This is the second straight year Myers has been chosen for the team, last year touring with the team and competing in Japan.

Maryland is just one of seven schools that have two or more players that made the team, joining Florida, Minnesota, Ohio State, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.
