COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The University of Maryland's men's golf is set to open the 2021 spring slate in the Big Ten Match Play Championship on Friday and Saturday. A full schedule for the 2021 season can be found
here. The event will be held at the Conservatory and Ocean courses at the Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Fla.
Twelve conference teams will be competing in the 13th annual competition. The teams have been drawn into a single-elimination bracket with the seeds having been determined using the final fall Golfstat rankings as of Nov. 11. 2020. Brackets can be found
here. Each team match will consists of six individual matches. The Terps will tee off at 8 a.m. Friday morning, with No. 1 Northwestern, No. 2 Minnesota, No. 3 Purdue and No. 4 Penn State having a first-round bye.
The championship semifinals and consolation semifinals will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, with the afternoon consisting of the championship, third, fifth, and seventh-place matches.
