
Pandya Finishes in Top 10 at Tar Heel Intercollegiate

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Maryland men's golf team wrapped up the Tar Heel Intercollegiate on Monday, finishing in sixth place. The Terps recorded a final score of 872 (289, 288, 295) +8 , and finished second amongst Big Ten teams in attendance.
Dhaivat Pandya finished highest in individual play for Maryland, taking home eighth place with his score of 212 (71, 69, 72) to go four under par, notching 12 birdies. The junior lead all individuals in par 3 holes with an average of 2.67 (-4) throughout three rounds. The Terp also placed second highest among Big Ten individuals. This marks the second top-10 finish for Pandya in the 2021 season.
Will Koras placed 10th overall will his final score 213 (65, 74, 74) for a total of three under par, his highest finish so far this season. Koras placed fourth overall in par 4 holes, with a 3.97 average (-1), and notched three birdies in a row in the first round.
Austin Barbin finished tied for 44th overall with his score of 223 (77, 73, 73) +7. With a final score of 224 (76, 72, 76), Dillon Brown finished the Tar Heel Intercollegiate tied for 48th. John Updike rounded out individual play for the Terps 87th overall with his score of 245 (81, 79, 85).
