COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's soccer team will look to rebound this week when the Terrapins host Ohio State (March 4) and Indiana (March 7) at Ludwig Field. It's Maryland's first return to Ludwig Field after opening the 2021 campaign at Maryland Stadium, and the first of five consecutive home games for the Terps.

THIS WEEK'S STORYLINES

Maryland senior Mikayla Dayes scored with 1:07 left in the second half to tie the game at 1-1 against Michigan State on Feb. 20 as her shot deflected off a Spartan and inside the left post. It was Dayes ninth career goal, after scoring five last year.

Loren Sefcik and Keyera Wynn both scored their first goals of the season for Maryland in the team's 3-2 overtime loss at Purdue on Feb. 25. Sefcik scored the equalizer in the 19th minute, while Wynn netted the go ahead score in the 81st minute of play.

Maryland is looking for its first win in the series with Ohio State, holding a 0-5-2 record all-time vs. the Buckeyes.

Maryland is 1-2-3 all-time vs. Indiana, playing to a 0-0 draw when the teams last met in 2019 in College Park.

Ray Leone in his fifth season at the helm for Maryland, a season removed from leading Maryland to its best-ever finish in the B1G. UMD finished 9-8-3 in 2019 and earned a trip to the school's first-ever Big Ten Tournament. The Terps went 5-5-1 in league play to finish sixth in the conference, the highest for a Maryland team.

The Terps return all 10 of their goal scorers from 2019, including Alyssa Poarch, who bagged eight goals and had three assists for Maryland. Mikayla Dayes (5) and Loren Sefcik (3) are also back, while Hope Lewandoski and Adalee Broadbent each recorded two goals during the 2019 campaign.
