Logan Wisnauskas is a finalist for the 92nd AAU James E. Sullivan Award as the more outstanding athlete in the United States for 2022.

Wisnauskas earned the most prestigious award in college lacrosse after a 61-goal, 42-assist, 103-point season that ended with an NCAA Championship. The leader of a historic Maryland offense, Wisnauskas averaged more than 5.7 points per game throughout a season that featured 14 hat tricks. He posted a Maryland-record 40 in his career.Â
Wisnauskas rocketed up the record books this season. He became the record-holder for points in a season (103), goals in a career (205), and points in a career (340). He finishes his career fourth all-time in career goals and 11th all-time in career points among all NCAA Division I men's lacrosse players.Â
He was the No. 1 overall selection in the PLL Draft in 2022 following a decorated season in which he won the following honors: 2022 Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year, 2022 Unanimous First Team All-Big Ten; 2022 Academic All-Big Ten and 2022 Big Ten Tournament MVP.Â
Older than The Heisman (1935), the AAU Sullivan Award honors the outstanding athlete in the United States. It has been presented annually by the AAU since 1930 as a salute to founder and past president of the Amateur Athletic Union, and a pioneer in amateur sports, James E. Sullivan. Based on the qualities of leadership, character, and sportsmanship, the AAU Sullivan Award goes far beyond athletic accomplishments and honors those who have shown strong moral character as well.
