Hughes Signs Scherer, Wagner In 2024 Recruiting Class

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The University of Maryland volleyball team announced two signings today a part of the 2024 recruiting class, as Lilly Wagner and Katherine Scherer both signed their National Letter of Intent on National Signing Day.

Wagner, a setter from Delafield, WI, and Scherer, an outside hitter from St. Charles, IL, both intend to graduate early and join the Maryland roster ahead of the 2023-24 spring season.

She has spent countless hours training in the USA pipeline and with her work ethic its no surprise she's ranked as one of the top setters in the 2024 class. I know the Maryland fans will enjoy watching Lilly's enthusiasm for the game and how she always keeps a smile."
