
Terps Open the Doc Hale Invitational With Top Performances

BLACKSBURG, VA – The Maryland Track and Field squads competed on day one of the Doc Hale Invitational at Virginia Tech.
Day one was highlighted by a victory in the 3000m by Katie Turk along with several athletes setting personal bests in their respective events.

Women's Notes:

Katie Turk (10:09.32) set a new personal record in a victory in the 3000m. Kirstin Nichols (10:35.09) set a season best and Katerina Talanova (10:37.47) set a personal best.

Kayla Woods (5.93m) took fourth in the long jump. Alyssa Miller also competed.

Kami Hickson (2:14.07) took seventh in the 800m with a season best performance. Michaela Bracken (2:15.64) also set a personal best in the event.

Lydia Robling (56.48) set a PR in the 400m. Kyra Lyles (56.94) and Maya Mosley also competed.

Kattiana Ealy-Pulido (8.92), Alyssa Miller (8.97), and Ariana Ealy-Pulido competed in the 60m hurdles.

Madison Depry (7.81) Kattiana Ealy-Pulido (7.81) Jaiden Ritter (8.03) and Ashley Thomas (8.06) competed in the 60m.
Men's Notes:

Drake Murphy (8.25) set a new personal record with a top ten finish in the 60m hurdles. Brandon Turpin (8.39) also competed.

Ako Hislop (6.81) qualified for the finals of the 60m dash and took third place. Kamari Trotz (6.96) and Kevin Collins (7.02) also competed

Max Myers (1:55.34) had a season best performance in the 800m.

Luke Tobia (18.46m) and Andrew Harmon (17.30m, PR) earned top ten results in the weight throw.
