COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The Maryland volleyball program received its 2023 Big Ten schedule as the conference announced this fall's schedule on Wednesday.
Maryland begins the 20-game conference season at home in the XFINITY Center Pavilion on Sept. 22 hosting Purdue, before welcoming Michigan on Sept. 24. The Terps hit the road for the first time in Big Ten play to take on Rutgers on Sept. 27 and will then travel to Columbus for a clash against Ohio State on Oct. 1.
Maryland returns to the Pav for two back-to-back home games against Minnesota and Indiana on Oct. 6-7. The Terps will then travel to Chicago to face Northwestern on Oct. 13, followed by a Sunday matchup against Wisconsin on Oct. 15.
The Terps host Illinois and Iowa before beginning a four-game road trip to take on Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan State, and Michigan.
Maryland welcomes Wisconsin and Ohio State to College Park and will then close out the Big Ten road slate with matches against Indiana and Purdue. The Terps close out the Big Ten regular season at home against Penn State before facing Rutgers in the regular season finale.
Game times will be announced at a later date.
The Terps are coming off of a strong 16-win 2022 campaign which included victories over No. 5 Ohio State and No. 9 Purdue. Maryland has recorded back-to-back seven Big Ten win seasons for the first time since 2018.
