Terrapins to Open Fall Slate at Highlands Invitational

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Maryland men's golf team will open its 2023-24 season this week at the Highlands Invitational at the Chicago Highlands Club in Westchester, Ill. The teams will play two rounds Monday and the third round Tuesday.

Junior Florian Huerlimann, freshman Yang Kuang, graduate student Ben Cooper, sophomore Constantin Mons and sophomore Ronnie Kim will be competing for Maryland.

Teams will play 36 holes Monday and 18 Tuesday in stroke play competition. Live scoring will be available here.

Other teams competing include tournament-host Wake Forest, Michigan, Rutgers, Penn State, Duke, College of Charleston, Furman, Missouri, Virginia, Iowa, Houston, Yale and Indiana.

The Highlands Invitational is a new event that will be held at the Chicago Highlands Club. Chicago Highlands is the best course in Illinois and the 18th best course in the country according to GolfDigest. The publication also rated hole nine at Chicago Highlands as one of the best hole designs in America.
