
Terps Drop Match With Michigan

ANN ARBOR, MI – Maryland volleyball was defeated by Michigan in consecutive sets (25-21, 25-17, 25-21) at Cliff Keen Arena on Thursday. The Terps are now 13-15 overall and 4-13 in Big Ten play.
Despite boasting leads in all three of the sets, Maryland was unable to come away with a set victory in a match of runs. Michigan improved to 17-11 on the season and 7-10 in conference action.
Sam Csire moved up to third all-time in program history in kills. She recorded nine on the day to increase her total to 1431. The graduate outside hitter passed Adreené Elliott (1,424 from 2011-15) in the match.
Samantha Schnitta tallied six kills, six digs, four blocks and two service aces. She now has 79 aces to lead all NCAA Division I. The total is also a program record.
Katie Scherer added five kills and six digs. Anastasia Russ rounded out performers with a game-high seven blocks.
