Due to Big Ten Wrestling Championships being held at the Xfinity Center, any fans attending the game will be able to park in Lot 11b for free as long as they arrive prior 12 PM. Anyone arriving later than 12 PM will need to pay for a wrestling parking permit. This only applies to Lot 11b, and all other lots around campus will be charging for parking on Sunday morning.
Where we are
- Maryland is back at the Plex this weekend after beating William & Mary in Williamsburg on Wednesday by a score of 20-5. The Terps's balanced attack was on full display yet again, as ten different players found the back of the net, led by hat tricks from Hannah Leubecker and Maggie Weisman
- Meghan Ball and Shaylan Ahearn dominated the draw circle for the Terps, winning a combined 14 draw controls, with Ball securing eight and Ahearn snagging six. Ball also anchored a defense that allowed just five goals and caused 11 turnovers.
- The 2024 schedule consists of ten non-conference and six conference matchups. The Terps continued to schedule strong competition with nine opponents ranked in the IWLCA Preseason Top 25, including three of the four teams from the 2023 Final Four.
- The Terps are coming off a season where they earned their 33rd consecutive NCAA Tournament bid. Maryland finished the 2023 season 15-7 overall and with a 4-2 conference record.
- Maryland announced six of its games will be broadcast nationally. Five games will air on Big Ten Network, including three home contests and one will show on ESPNU.

Championship facility
- The Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex completed renovations this fall, achieving a comprehensive enhancement of the facility transforming the existing 5,500 square foot facility into a 17,193 square foot team house.
- The facility features larger, separated locker rooms for Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse student-athletes with spacious team rooms with all-new technologies, an increased Sports Medicine room with new rehabilitative and recovery equipment, inclusive of hydrotherapy space, a signature lobby to recognize and celebrate the championships and success of both programs, a relocated fan entrance for ease of access to the complex seating areas and a second floor addition with coaching offices and meeting spaces.

2024 standouts
- Eloise Clevenger leads the team in assists (22) and points (31). She averages 3.67 assists per game, leading the Big Ten, and 5.16 points per game ranking third in the conference. Her assists per game average ranks fifth in the nation.
- Maggie Weisman has had breakout performances over the last three games, scoring seven goals on eight shots, equaling a shooting percentage of .875.
- The Terps have three double digit goalscorers in Libby May, Hannah Leubecker, Kori Edmondson. Each have scored in every game so far this season, with Leubecker leading the way with 12 goals, Edmondson with 11, and May with ten.
- Shaylan Ahearn has been a presence all over the field for the Terps. She leads the team with 31 draw controls, and added two goals to her name against William and Mary on Wednesday.
- Emily Sterling has remained a consistent presence in the cage for the Terps, posting the fourth-best save percentage in the country of .567 after five games.
- Clevenger, Leubecker and Sterling, along with defender Meghan Ball were all named to the Tewaaraton Watch List earlier this season.

New Additions
- Reese and the Terps added two of the top transfers out of the portal for the 2024 season in 2023 Big Ten Defender of the Year Meghan Ball and Colorado stand-out Sophie Halus. Ball, a graduate transfer from Rutgers, was the first non-Maryland player to earn Defender of the Year. In addition, she is a three-time IWLCA All-American, three-time First Team All-Big Ten selection and she graduated as Rutgers' all-time leader in career caused turnovers (154) and draw controls (308).
- Halus, a junior, started all 36 contests in her first two seasons with the Buffaloes. She tallied 40 ground balls, 32 caused turnovers, one goal and three assists.
- Maryland also welcomes an impressive freshmen class, highlighted by top-10 ranked signee Maisy Clevenger. The class also features ranked signees JJ Suriano and Lexi Dupcak, alongside watchlist talent Lauren LaPointe.

Dominance Under Reese
- Head Coach Cathy Reese enters her 18th season at the helm of Maryland women's lacrosse. The winningest coach in program history, Reese is 322-42 as head coach and has led the Terps to five National Championships, 12 Final Fours and 22 Conference Championships.
- Maryland is 168-7 at home under Reese, with eight undefeated home campaigns in the last 11 seasons (2013, '14, '15, '16, '17, '18, '19, '21).

History vs. William & Mary
- The Terps hold an impressive 42-6 record against James Madison all-time, and have won 12 of the last 15 games
- Last year, the Terps lost both matchups against the Dukes, losing by one goal in each of the games, including in the second round of the NCAA tournament in Harrisonburg
