COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Maryland baseball team begins a busy next two weeks, as it begins a 10-game streak of road games starting with a pair of midweek games against Georgetown and UMBC. The Terrapins will first play Georgetown on April 9, before traveling to UMBC on April 10th. The Terps and the Hoyas will be facing off for the third time this season and the second time at Capital One Park. The Terps won the first two meetings this season by a score of 14-5 and 11-4. The Terps will face the Retrievers for the second time in a week, with the Terps taking a walk-off win over the Retrievers of 13-12 back on April 3.

Both games will air on the Maryland Baseball Network. The game against the Hoyas will be streamed on Muscovision, while the match-up with the Retrievers will be streamed on AmericaEast.tv which is the digital streaming service for the America East Conference.

Georgetown and Maryland have met 87 times in the series, with the Terps holding the advantage in the series. The two teams have met twice this year, the first a 14-5 win for the Terps at home back on Feb. 27. The second meeting took place at Capital One Park, the new home field for the Hoyas back on Mar. 26. That game ended in a win for the Terps by a score of 11-4.

Maryland and UMBC will be meeting for the second time this season, after meeting during the previous week. The Terps took the previous match-up on a walk-off by Sam Hojnar on April 3. The Terps and the Retrievers have 55 meetings in the all-time series, with the Terps leading the series between the two programs.

The Terps (22-10) enter this week after dropping their second consecutive series in the Big Ten. The Terps faced Indiana and lost the first two games by a score of 15-4 on April 5 and 14-2 on April 6. The Terps came back in the final game of the series, winning on yet another walk-off in a 6-5 game. After falling behind 5-2 in the top of the sixth inning, the Terps would score three runs in the bottom half to tie the game at five apiece. The Terps would load the bases in the bottom of the ninth, and Kevin Keister would step-up as the captain singled up the middle to score the winning run for the Terrapins. This marked the fourth walk-off of the season for the Terps and their second of the week. The duo of Joey McMannis and Logan Berrier on the mound gave the Terrapins the chance to come back in the game, with Berrier picking up his seventh win of the season in his 3.1 innings on Sunday. The walk-off win makes the Terps 9-1 in one-run games, while giving them their 13th comeback win and their 10th win in their last at-bat.

Georgetown (21-9) won yet another series over the weekend, as they took two of three from conference foe Seton Hall. Georgetown took the first game of the series 3-0, scoring all three runs in the seventh inning thanks to a pair of singles from Christian Ficca and Joe Hollerbach. The final two games would end up as pitchers duels, with Seton Hall taking a 1-0 win on April 6 and Georgetown winning the series on April 7 1-0 as well. Georgetown would walk-off Seton Hall on a wild pitch in the final game of the series, securing the seventh consecutive series win for the Hoyas.
