
McDonald Named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Graduate student LSM Jack McDonald has been named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in a 13-9 win over then-No. 5 Princeton on Feb. 22.
McDonald, earning his first-ever Big Ten weekly honor, played a pivotal role defensively in the Terps holding their opponent to single-digits for four consecutive games. McDonald helped hold Princeton's starting midfield to three goals. McDonald was also pivotal on the wings where the Terps won 16 of 26 faceoffs, including 13 of 17 in the final three quarters. He finished with three groundballs.
The No. 2 Terps will travel to Atlanta, GA to face No. 1 Notre Dame on Saturday, March 1 in a 2024 National Championship rematch. The game against the Fighting Irish will air at 1 PM on ACC Network.
