COLLEGE PARK, MD – Each week during the 2024-25 season, a Maryland student-athlete who demonstrates excellence on and off the field will be honored as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.
This week's recipient is senior Eric Spanos of the Maryland men's lacrosse team.
Spanos led Maryland to a 13-5 win over Air Force in the NCAA First Round, scoring a team-high and career-best six goals. It marked the first time a Terp has scored six goals in an NCAA Tournament game since Jared Bernhardt accomplished the feat against Vermont in 2021.
The USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American reached his 100th career point during the game and now has 105 points and counting. It was his fourth hat trick of the season and the ninth of his career.
