COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Week Three of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) season brought plenty of energy, with Maryland's ProTerps once again making their mark.
From big performances to first-time moments, Maryland alums stood out in Philadelphia during the Waterdogs' homecoming weekend.
The league picks back up June 21–22, heading to Baltimore, right in the heart of Terp Country, or the next round of games.
Here's a look at how the ProTerps did in Week Three.
The Atlas played their third game of the season in Philadelphia but fell to the Maryland Whipsnakes, 16–12. Terp alum and defenseman Brett Makar '23 made his presence felt as the lone Maryland representative on the squad, scoring a two-point "pole goal" in transition.

Midfielder Jonathan Donville '22 saw time on the field and scored a goal, while defender Bryce Young '18 earned the start, recording a caused turnover and a ground ball.
The Denver Outlaws notched their first win of the 2025 season with several Maryland alums making standout contributions. Rookie goalie Logan McNaney '25 earned his first professional start and delivered an impressive performance, recording 14 saves and a 66.7% save percentage to lead the Outlaws to a 9–7 victory. Jared Bernhardt '21 scored his first career goal since returning to lacrosse after a stint in professional football, marking a key moment in the win. Jesse Bernhardt, Maryland alum and current Terps defensive coordinator, as well as Jared's brother, was instrumental in the defensive effort, leading the team with two caused turnovers.
