Gravino, Schultz Named to USA U20 National Team

SPARKS, Md. — Rising junior Thomas Gravino and rising sophomore Jack Schultz have been named to the 22-man U.S. U20 National Team roster set to compete in the 2025 World Lacrosse Men's U20 Championship. The 20-team tournament will take place August 15–24 on Jeju Island, Korea.

Gravino, a short-stick defensive midfielder, appeared in all 18 games for the Terps this past season, collecting 15 ground balls and causing two turnovers. The Victor, N.Y., native recorded multiple ground balls in three contests and played a key role in Maryland's dominant defensive midfield unit in 2025.

Schultz, an offensive midfielder and member of the 2025 Big Ten All-Freshman Team, also played in all 18 games. He finished the season with eight goals and six assists, including four multi-point performances. Schultz scored twice in Maryland's 11–10 win over then-No. 1 Notre Dame.

Gravino, Schultz, and the U.S. team will open play on August 16 with a pool play game against Canada, followed by matchups with Australia and the Haudenosaunee. All four teams in Pool A will automatically advance to the quarterfinals, which begin August 21. The gold medal game is set for August 24.

The United States has won all nine previous World Lacrosse men's junior field championships, most recently in 2022 with a 12–10 victory over Canada in Limerick, Ireland.

Gravino and Schultz join a long line of former Hardshells who have represented Team USA on the international stage.
