COLLEGE PARK, MD – The University of Maryland volleyball program announced that its match against defending national champion No. 2 Penn State on Sunday, October 5, will be played on the Xfinity Center main court.
"After experiencing the energy and setting an attendance record against Nebraska on the main court last season, we're excited to bring that same atmosphere to the Xfinity Center for our Penn State match," said head coach
Adam Hughes. "We're ready to capitalize on that momentum and give our fans a memorable experience against Penn State."
Penn State heads into College Park as the defending NCAA champion, carrying momentum from last year's dramatic title win over Nebraska.
The Terps last played on the main court last season when they faced #2 Nebraska. A record-setting 13,071 fans were in attendance, shattering the program's previous mark of 4,522 set on Oct. 23, 2014 against Penn State.
