COLLEGE PARK, MD — Graduate student Leo Johnson was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week following his standout performance in the Terps' 19–10 season-opening victory over Loyola.
Johnson led the way with five goals on five shots while adding one assist, igniting an offense that recorded its highest single-game goal total since 2022. The win also marked Maryland's 33rd consecutive season-opening victory.
The No.1 Terps return to action Friday, traveling to Syracuse, N.Y., to face No. 2 Syracuse at 6 p.m. on ACC Network.
