CLEMSON, SC - Ella O'Neall highlighted day one of the Tiger Paw Invitational for the Maryland Terrapins track and field team, turning in the 10th-best all-time performance in the women's weight throw with a mark of 18.42 meters.
In addition to O'Neall's performance the Terrapins saw two other top-15 finishes in events in day one of a competitive field.
Maya Valmon turned in a time of 52.46 seconds in the 400 meters which saw her finish in 12th place for the event out of 66 competitors.
Nyla Cherry reached a distance of 5.75 meters in the long jump to finish in 11th place for the event.
The Terrapins will return to action tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. as the team is set to compete in day two of the Tiger Paw Invitational and the Boston Valentine invitational.
