COLLEGE PARK, MD – Graduate attacker Eric Spanos has been named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week after his eight-goal performance in Maryland's 14-8 victory over Michigan.
Spanos led the Terps' offense, scoring a career-high eight goals in Maryland's first conference win of 2026. He netted all four of the Terps' second-quarter goals, marking the program's first four-goal quarter by a single player since 2021.
Spanos added two more goals in the third quarter to extend his career high, then capped his performance with another goal in the fourth quarter.
His eight-goal effort is the most by a Terp since Jared Bernhardt scored eight against Michigan in 2021 and the most by any Big Ten player in a game since Michael Boehm's performance for Michigan against Ohio State in 2023.
Spanos and the Maryland lacrosse team will be back in action this Saturday, April 4, at SECU Stadium at 6:00 PM taking on Ohio State.
