MADISON, WI — Maryland went on the road for the final time in the 2025-26 regular season, but fell 78-45 to Wisconsin on Wednesday night. The host Badgers used a series of runs to push past Maryland and drop the Terps to 11-19 on the season and 4-15 in Big Ten play.

Andre Mills continued his hot streak with 14 points and three rebounds. Mills has scored in double figures nine times in his past 10 games and 18 times in his freshman season. He knocked down a quad of three-pointers as he logged his fifth straight game with 14+ points.

Elijah Saunders pitched in an 11-point night. He hit three of Maryland's nine three's as the Terps brought their season three-pointer total to 254, which is the fifth-highest single-season mark in program history.

Collin Metcalf grabbed a season-high eight boards, as did Solomon Washington, as the Terps battled Wisconsin on the glass. Guillermo Del Pino hit a pair of triples during his six-point night that matched his best performance in Big Ten play.

Wisconsin opened the second half with a 14-3 run across the first six minutes to pull away from Maryland as the Badgers improved to 15-2 at home this season. Braeden Carrington scored 18 points for the home team. Maryland returns to College Park to wrap up its regular season against No. 11 Illinois on Mar. 8.

How it Happened:
1st Half:

Washington got the Terps' scoring started with a layup.
Saunders got on the board with Maryland's first three-pointer five minutes into the game.
Saunders hit his 50th triple of the season to tie the game at 8-8.
Maryland took a 10-8 lead with a Coit layup going into a media timeout.
Metcalf and Mills got their first points with a pair of layups.
Saunders added a third three in the closing minutes.
Wisconsin led 34-21 at the half.

2nd Half:

The Badgers opened the second half on a 9-0 run across the first five minutes to pull away from Maryland.
Del Pino splashed a three for the Terps' first points of the half.
Saunders threw a dunk down to reach double figures.
Isaiah Watts rolled in a layup to push the Terps past 30 points.
Del Pino drained a second three-pointer for the team's sixth.
Wisconsin iced its win with another 9-0 run with seven minutes to play.
Mills hit a three-pointer for his second triple of the night.
Mills' third three-pointer pushed him into double figures.
Wisconsin closed out its 78-45 win.
