Maryland Terrapins Head North For Three-Day Penn Relays Meet In Philadelphia

COLLEGE PARK, MD - The Maryland Terrapins track and field team is set to head north for a three-day meet in Philadelphia at the Penn Relays. The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. and run from April 23–25.

LAST TIME OUT: virginia challenge

Armanie Coleman set a new school record in the 100 meters at a time of 11.49 seconds, surpassing a 47-year-old record in the event.
Fin Essley set a new school record in the hammer throw at a distance of 62.11 meters.
Joe Garzio turned in a time of 1:48.36 in the 800 meters, moving into third all-time in program history.
Roman Spikes ran a time of 10.37 seconds in the 100 meters to move into fifth all-time in program history.
Eva Rogers recorded a time of 4:20.95 in the 1500 meters, placing fifth all-time in the program record book.
Roman Spikes turned in a time of 20.76 seconds in the 200 meters, improving his second all-time mark in program history.
Morgan Graham recorded a mark of 54.70 meters in the discus, setting a new second all-time mark in program history, Graham already held the second best position.
The 4x100 meter relay team composed of Victoria Teasley, Jasmine Davids, Jasmine Sharps, and Armanie Coleman set a new third best all-time mark in the event at 45.07 seconds.
Bryce Hatcher set a new personal best in the 200 meters after running a time of 25.12 seconds.

Morgan Graham in the collegiate hammer throw division (52.39m, 11th).
Andrew Harmon placed 14th in the hammer throw championship division (58.32 meters).
Fin Essley placed 21st in the college hammer throw division (53.64 meters).
Eric Albright, Sam Ford, Max Worley, and Jack Barchet combined to finish 10th overall in the distance medley relay for a new program record time of 9 minutes, 39.29 seconds. That broke the previous record of 9:39.8 set back in 1976.
The women's 4x400 meter relay team of Sam Payne, Lydia Robling, Kami Joi Hickson, and Maya Valmon who qualified for the finals with a time 3:35.38 and a 7th-place overall finish.
The 4x100 relay team of Bryce Hatcher, Victoria Teasley, Jewel Ofotan, and Armanie Coleman who had the fourth-fastest time in program history clocking in at 45.67 seconds (16th overall).
The men's squad of Joshua Goffe, Tanner Leach, Roman Spikes, and DJ Tarver turned in the program's third fastest mark in the 4x200 relay at 1 minute, 25.55 seconds to finish 10th overall.
Morgan Graham took fourth in the discus with a throw of 54.63 meters which is now the second-best mark in program history and her new personal best by 1.32 meters.
Jennessa Wolfe rounded out the final day of competition with a ninth-place finish in the high jump as she cleared 1.7 meters.
