COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Senior defenseman Riley Reese was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week following his performance in the Terps' 8–7 overtime win over No. 9 Ohio State on Saturday.
Reese played a key role in the victory, helping Maryland's defense limit the Buckeyes to just seven goals. He recorded a team-high two caused turnovers and led all defenders with three ground balls. Reese also scored the game-winning goal in overtime in transition, securing Maryland's first top-10 win of the season.
Reese and the Terps return to action this Saturday, April 11 at 6 p.m. at SECU Stadium for the final home game of the 2026 regular season.
