As a Junior (2016): Started five games in 15 appearances…notched a 6.56 ERA and struck out 22 in 35.2 IP…finished 2-3 with one save…earned All-Big Ten Academic for the second straight season…opened his season with a two-inning relief appearance against Rhode Island (2/28)…struck out four over three and 2/3 innings to earn a win in relief against Tennessee (3/4)…struck out the only two batters he faced at East Carolina (3/6)…tossed two and 1/3 of an inning out of the bullpen against George Washington (3/9)…notched a pair of scoreless innings pitched with two Ks against Bryant to earn a save (3/11)…made his first start of the season at UC Irvine and last four and 2/3 giving up two earned runs on nine hits (3/16)…made his second midweek start and recorded 3.1 IP at Liberty (3/22)…sparked in a start against VCU, tossing seven innings of scoreless ball while scattering seven hits and striking out two to earn a win (3/29)…tossed six innings and scattered six hits while giving up two earned runs at Liberty (4/5)…appeared against Minnesota twice in a three-game set (4/15, 4/17)…tossed two and 1/3 of relief against Purdue (4/22)…made his final appearance of the season at James Madison (4/26)…sidelined for the remainder of the season due to injury.

As a Freshman (2014): Made 22 appearances, the fourth most on the team, 19 in relief … went 5-2 with a 4.05 ERA … finished with 34 strikeouts to 14 walks in 46-2/3 innings pitched … made his collegiate debut in game two at Florida (2/15) … pitched a scoreless inning of relief in game two against Bryan (2/22) and in the series finale at Florida State (3/9) … earned his first career win after posting two innings of perfect relief and striking out a career-best three against Delaware (3/11) ... pitched a career-high 4-1/3 innings allowing no runs in relief to improve to 2-0 against North Carolina (3/15) ... picked up his first career save against Delaware (3/18) ... made his first career start against NC State (3/23) and pitched three innings surrendering one run with two strikeouts ... pitched an inning of scoreless relief in the second game of a doubleheader against Clemson (3/28) ...  pitched four innings of relief at Wake Forest (4/5) striking out three and allowing one run ... struck out three in a 1-1/3 against Mt. St. Mary’s (4/9) ... made his second career start at West Virginia (4/22) tying a career high with three strikeouts ... gave up one run in two innings of relief in game one of a DH at Boston College (4/25) ... picked up his third win against Towson (5/7) scattering eight hits over a career-long six innings ... appeared in relief against Georgia Tech (5/25) in the ACC title game ... earned two victories in relief at the Columbia Regional (5/30-6/1) ... struck out two in a scoreless ninth against Old Dominion (5/30) ... pitched two innings of scoreless relief at South Carolina (6/1) to help win the regional … pitched 5-2/3 innings in the final two games of the Charlottesville Super Regional (6/8-9).

At Bishop McNamara: Finished his senior campaign with an 8-2 record and a 0.61 ERA with 119strikeouts to help lead the Mustangs to the WCAC title game … also batted .387 with 21 extra-base hits … named to the 2013 Rawlings Preseason Honorable Mention All-Atlantic team … named a Washington Post First Team All-Met selection … tabbed the 2013 WCAC Player of the Year and the Prince George’s County Gazette Player of the Year … named to the 2013 MSABC Preseason All-State Team … selected as a member of the South Team in the Brooks Robinson All-Star Game and named most outstanding pitcher … ranked the No. 20 prospect in Maryland by Perfect Game USA.

Personal: Son of Brent and Christine Stiles … has one sibling, Melanie … graduated from McNamara with Summa Cum Laude honors ... lists golf as a sport he would play outside of baseball … chose Maryland for the opportunity to represent his home state … lists Andy Pettitte as his sports hero … also recruited by College of Charleston, East Carolina, Liberty, Radford, UNC Greensboro and Winthrop.
